wwoofing in france

i'm planning on woofing in france this summer starting in august, i'm female and i'll be traveling alone and i'm a bit concerned in general considering the website has no rating system. so does anyone have any recommendations of farms in france or warnings of which ones to stay away from? any tips in general are welcome as well...
